Let's have some fun + saving ( make pore strips)

I know that I probably shouldn’t complain about skin issues as lately, I’ve been blessed with a relatively healthy one unlike some of my friends who are fighting a seemingly endless battle. Anyway, I can’t help but thinking how to improve my appearance and one of the pressing matters for me is dealing with congested pores. It seems like no matter what I do to prevent this annoying issue, the pores are always full of dead cells that are hard to remove.
Commercial products have their merit and I’ve used them for years, but each time I spent double digit figures on pore strips, I was a bit frustrated. It feels like throwing money down the drain, since no matter how meticulous you are, there is no way of preventing skin cells from dying and clogging the pores. The alternative for a less expensive maintenance, is to create your own pore strips at home using natural ingredients such as eggs and a little bit of milk.
The homemade strips look similar to commercial ones and are applied in the same manner, which means that there is no steep learning curve to worry about. Results speak for themselves and after cleansing your pores and watching how the skin exfoliates easily as a positive side-effect, you won’t go back to buying the strips. Egg white and milk are the basic and indispensable ingredients but this is quite fortunate as both of them can be acquired for a fraction of what the branded pore strips cost.

DIY Pore Strips With Gelatin

You’ll Need:
1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
1 tablespoon milk
1 small microwavable container
1 small, flat makeup brush for your face

Mix the gelatin and milk thoroughly while using a microwaveable container, pop the mix to the microwave for 5-10 seconds. Let it sit for a while making sure its slightly warm before applying to your clean nose or face.
When ready, use the makeup brush to apply the mixture to your nose, chin, top of your cheeks, and up your temples: all the usual places blackheads could be lurking for you. Allow it to completely dry and then carefully and slowly peel it off your nose. When finished, wash your face as you normally would, and pat it dry.

Natural Clay Mask For Pore Treatment

DIY-Pore-Strips
Bentonite clay or French green clay is beneficial in removing impurities and tightening the pores, toning the skin, exfoliating dead skin cells and reducing inflammation in acne. It can also be used as a full-body treatment to soften dry, rough skin. Not only is it luxurious (think of the spas that offer clay treatments), a little can go a long way.
Before trying out the mask on your face, you should first test it on your inner arm, where you skin is more sensitive, to help ensure you can tolerate the ingredients.
You can find this clay at most natural foods stores, or at stores like Hi-Health or GNC or you can order them online like Amazon.
You’ll Need:
2 tablespoons loose calcium bentonite clay (cosmetic grade) or Green Clay Powder
2 tablespoons water
Small, flat makeup brush

  • Combine the clay and water in a non-metal bowl until it forms a smooth paste.
  • Pull your hair away from your face and ensure your skin is clean of any makeup, lotions or dirt.
  • Apply the mask in a thin layer to your face using a small, flat makeup brush, and let it dry for about 10-20 minutes. You should feel the clay tighten on your skin as it dries.
Use warm water and a soft washcloth to remove the clay from your face.

Egg White Pore Cleanser

One final and super simple way to help clean the pores on your face is to create an egg white pore cleanser. This works similarly to the DIY pore strips, but uses just one ingredient along with a bit of bathroom tissue. If you are allergic to eggs, do not use this method.
You’ll Need:
1 egg white
some bathroom tissue

  • Ensure your skin is clean of any makeup, lotions or dirt and apply the egg white to your nose or affected areas with a small, flat makeup brush.
  • Use one ply from 1-2 squares of unscented bathroom tissue, and apply it over the egg white, gently patting it down.
  • Allow the tissue to dry on your face, and then gently and slowly peel it away from your skin. You may need to use some warm water to help remove the tissue.
  • When finished, wash your face as you normally would, and pat it dry.
  • Grab some ice and rub it on your face after washing so as to close the remaining open pores.
