How to Keep your Hair Color from Fading Easily

Whether you are ravishing redhead, bold brunette or bombshell blonde, you don’t want your color to fade into the sunset. With all the time and expense to get your hair colored, you certainly don’t want it fading away after just few shampoos.
That is especially true once you find the perfect shade you’ve been trying to reach for years. Luckily, there are things that you can do to keep your hair color looking fresh and vibrant weeks longer than ever before.

You’ll Need:
1 packet of Vitamin C supplement powder
This no-fade formula works because the Vitamin C supplement contains high concentration of ascorbic acid and citric acid, which dissolve the iron and alkaline deposits in hard water that caused color-treated hair to turn dull and mousey.

1Combine one packet of vitamin C supplement powder and add enough water to make a thick paste. Shampoo your hair first and rinse as usual.

Quick Tip: Before coloring your hair, deep condition it a week before the color. This can help the hair color “grab” onto your strands – preventing discoloration and fading throughout the time. As an extra bonus – your hair will be protected from the coloring chemicals, and hair will be less likely to break off during the coloring session.
Color-treated hair fades naturally on its own. You don’t really need help in making that process work faster. Taking precautions like those noted above can help you not only extend the life of your color but also prevent unnecessary damage to your hair.
