8 Home Remedies to Get Rid of Those Dark Circles Under Your Eyes

A beautiful face makes a long lasting impression so we go to great lengths to insure the fact that our facial features are always radiant. Sometimes we overdo it and the excess of cosmetic products and their inherent chemicals backfire, on other occasions other factors cause undesired problems. Take the dark circles around the eye for example, as they can appear without notice or gradually, but in both cases have a detrimental effect on our appearance. Without being a serious condition, it is nevertheless frustrating and the worst part is that if left untreated the eye dark circles won’t go away.

Causes

As stated above, excess use of cosmetic products rich in chemicals can lead to eye dark circles because the skin in this area is very sensitive. Those who get them will look a couple of years older and always tired, which is not the way to present themselves. Stress is also a factor and nowadays when so few are living a carefree life, an erratic lifestyle and hectic sleeping habits make a contribution. Heredity is also a cause and those who have particularly thin skin around their eyes are more likely to get dark circles. Diet can also be a cause if it causes hormonal imbalances, so pay attention to what you eat on a daily basis.
Here are some contributing causes that caused eye dark circles:
  • Poor diet or eating habits
  • Ageing results in dryness of skin which leads to dark circles
  • Stress
  • Living conditions or lifestyle habits
